Visual Arts Festival 2026
Congratulations Visual Arts Festival Winners

The ESC of Medina County is pleased to announce this year's award winners of the inaugural "Young Artists’ Showcase" art show for students in Grades 4-12.

Stella Bennett, a 2026 junior at Cloverleaf High School, was awarded Best of Show for her “Sail Away” coil-built ceramic teapot. As such, she received a $300 award from the ESC, sponsored by George and Mary M. Marquis. Her high school art teacher is Mollie Jarvis.

This showcase provided a much-needed exhibition opportunity for younger students, with the work of older students providing inspiration for younger artists. The show was divided into four grade-level bands to ensure fair judging across six categories. Artwork is original, school appropriate, and created in conjunction with school assignments.

This year 93 students from six Medina County school districts entered 112 pieces of artwork. Each of the 41 award winners received a gift card from the ESC of Medina County. The following sponsors' generous support made possible many of the student awards: Hollo's Papercraft, Inc.; George and Mary M. Marquis, MODA Gifting LLC; VCS Salon and Spa; and Brenda Zacharias.

For the third year in a row, the opportunity was also available to our artistically-talented students to participate in the “Art and Law” show. Judge William Hutson selected 26 pieces of 2-D student artwork. These pieces were framed and will be on display in the Medina County Court of Common Pleas for two years.

Special thanks to Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital for the gracious use of their space to proudly display this amazing collection of artwork!

An outgrowth of the Visual Art Festival is a year-round rotating student artwork display on several floors of the Medina Medical Office Building. See "Arts in Public Places" webpage.
